Frequently asked questions

Q: How do I pay for TED Alert?

A: You are invoiced for your agreed monthly charge Quarterly in advance, that is, at the end of March, June, September and December. Any summaries or full notice requests that fall outside your allowance are charged in arrears.  Invoices can be sent in either pounds sterling or euros, it’s your choice.

Q: What are your payment terms?

A: The terms are 30 days from the date of the invoice.

Q: Is there a user guide for TED Alert available?

A: Yes.  It is sent to you as an Acrobat PDF, when the free trial starts and contains useful information on the service, related links and reading material, the layout of the notices and what each field and notice type represents.

Are your prices flat monthly prices or are they per-user?

A: There are no additional per-user charges, the flat monthly price is the same no matter if 1 person or 100 people are using it.  Ted Alert pricing is based on how many notices you receive per month, not the number of people who are using it.  You nominate a primary contact, who can then automatically forward EU Tender Notices to anyone who wants them.

Can I change plans at any time?

A: Simply email alerts@euro-bidwatch.com and we'll review your options with you.  We'll never surprise you with a "set-up" or extra "one-time" fee if you upgrade.

Q: How often can I change my search criteria?

A: As often as you like. There is no charge for this, however amendments to your search criteria may impact your allowance and monthly tariff.

Q: Can I request a bespoke search for a specific notice?

A: Yes, we will design the special search for you and examine the notices found by this on a daily basis. Ones that are relevant will be forwarded to you.  There is no additional charge for this activity; however it may impact your monthly allowance.

Q: How are the alerts delivered?

A: By e-mail.  You automatically receive an HTML e-mail summary of the TED Alerts matching your bespoke intelligent profile.  In it the search criteria are marked up in red, facilitating your understanding of why you received them.  There is a back up fax facility should your e-mail be down.

Q: How often should I review my search?

A: The search can be reviewed at your request. Euro-Bid Watch recommends a review at least once a year. This is conducted free of charge.

Q: Can I cancel my subscription to TED Alert ™ ?

A: Yes you can cancel at any time during the 30 days free trial and your initial invoice will be waived.  Thereafter you may cancel at any time and the service will be terminated at the end of the quarter we have most recently invoiced you for.  This means there is never more than three months subscription commitment.  We don’t pro-rate for partial months.

Q: Do you offer a 30-day free trial for new accounts? What about cancellation?

A: Yes. If you cancel within 30 days of signing up you won’t be charged a thing.  Refunds cannot be issued once your initial 30 day free trial has finished.  Please note only new accounts are eligible for the 30-day free trial; upgrades in a subscription plan do not qualify.

Q: I understand that I get a daily summary of relevant notices so how do I order the ‘full text’?

Simply by clicking on the ‘Get Full Text?’ link.  You will be prompted to enter a default password which will already have been sent from us and then select the format, i.e. HTML, RTF, PDF or Text, for your ‘full text’ document, which is then emailed or faxed immediately.

Q: What are your Conditions of Payment & Service Activation?

The TED Alert service will be activated shortly after receipt of the 30-day free trial application.  If you do not cancel within 30 days of activation, you are obliged to pay all invoices also within 30 days.  Under the terms of the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act, Euro-Bid Watch LLP reserves the right to charge 8% above the prevailing Bank of England base rate of interest for outstanding debts on a daily basis and to deactivate the service in extreme cases. This incurs a £50 / €80 reconnection fee which is redeemable if the following quarter’s invoice is settled within 30 days.

Q: What types of payment does Euro-Bid Watch accept and will you take a Purchase Order?

We accept payments by cheque, BACS, CHAPS, Internet Banking and SWIFT in Euros and Sterling but will only accept Euro cheques if drawn on a UK bank account..  We accept Purchase Orders.

Q: What is the Length of Agreement

The agreement continues up to the end of quarter in which you terminate your contract with Euro-Bid Watch LLP.
